Care & Maintenance
Care & Maintenance
To keep your mounts and accessories performing at their best:
- Rinse with fresh water after every use, especially after saltwater trips.
- Wipe down poles, brackets, and plates to remove salt and residue.
- Check all bolts and clamps regularly to ensure a secure fit.
- Avoid extended sun exposure when not in use — store gear in a dry, shaded place when possible.
- Apply anti-seize or corrosion inhibitor to fasteners if regularly used in saltwater.
- Inspect moving parts (like pole hinges or mount arms) and tighten if needed.
Built tough — but a little care goes a long way.

New “Vise Block” design replaces the previous Gen3 “Receiver Block” design effectively eliminating the requirement for a separate tensioning screw and dramatically increasing the steadiness of the transducer and the speed and convenience of the setup step when adjusting the length of the beam and rotating the transducer out of the water. The new vise design also eliminates the spring pin requirement ultimately taking the Gen4 to the next level of product durability. Comes standard with one 20 inch and one 12 inch shaft link; total 32″
If you are wondering what’s new and different from the 2021 Gen3 generation?
-New “Vise Block” design replaces the previous Gen3 “Receiver Block” design effectively eliminating the requirement for a separate tensioning screw and dramatically increasing the steadiness of the transducer and the speed and convenience of the setup step when adjusting the length of the beam and rotating the transducer out of the water. The new vise design also eliminates the spring pin requirement ultimately taking the Gen4 to the next level of product durability.
-Infinite beam adjustment for the horizontal beam length adjustment for precise settings.
-The Split Clamp that holds the down pole (which holds your transducer) is redesigned to be approximately double the depth of the Gen3 version increasing the precision as you rotate the pole.
-The Split Clamp now features a locking pattern profile for the tilt action removing the need for a tilt spring pin and improving durability and providing greater resolution for the tilt settings beyond the 90° detent setting.
Comes With
Comes standard with one 20 inch and one 12 inch shaft link; total 32″ inches of pole length when assembled together. Click-on the following three links to add more shaft links for greater shaft length for your transducer pole:
6″ inch / 12″ inch / 20″ inch
Our Generation 4 Pole & Beam Mounting System (New for 2025) is rotational, tiltable and telescopic; perfect for your Garmin, Lowrance, Humminbird Live Sonar mounting applications, where you wish to mount to a deck or gunnel edge of your boat (we also have clamp-on versions available elsewhere on our “Livesonar Mounts” page).
There are a variety of options:
1) BEAM LENGTH: The 5″ beam is great for gunnel mounting applications where you don’t need much reach to get from the side of the boat and down into the water. The 10″ beam is longer and therefore usually the option you would choose if/where mounting more inwards into boat such as on the bow deck of a bass boat or similar.
2) POLE LENGTH/(Down Rod/Shaft): Choose and mix & match your Pole Lengths. Lengths available are: 20″ inch, 12″ inch & 6″ inch length. Choose as many as you like at whatever lengths you prefer and screw them together like a pool cue (links where to purchase more as aforementioned are above with product links).
3) LIVESONAR ADAPTER TYPE: choose between the standard cylinder adapter covering Garmin Livescope (down & forward views), Lowrance Active Target (all views), & Humminbird Mega Live Imaging (all views), or select the Perspective Mode adapter (Garmin Livescope only) which supports all modes – perspective, down and forward.
4) HANDLE: choose between:
-“none” (I.e. make your own handle),
-7.5″ fixed (needs a hex key/wrench to adjust), no tilt feature, is extendable in regards to length,
-9.5″ adjustable tilt feature and also extendable in length,
-Twist Handle; twist the handle instead of rotating the handle to rotate the pole (by far our most deluxe handle option); also auto locking so water current cannot rotate the pole.
Add as many 2″ inch segments that you like to get the horizontal beam of our mount up and over the gunwale edge of your boat from – say – a deck mounting position.
Screw/attach them to your boat in multiple places. Maybe you have a front deck and a rear deck you want to easily swap your livescope transducer to.
